A few weeks back, I was on a Zoom call with about 40 other women who had taken a course I had been through early last year. In the end, we each gave an update on where we were with our business and goals. When it was my turn, I heard myself say something I hadn’t consciously put together in my own mind. Yet when I heard it, I finally understood the journey I had walked and the woman I wanted to serve as a coach. These are the words I said: “I am a coach and podcaster who encourages, empowers, and equips women so they can learn who they were meant to be before the world told them they weren’t good enough.” Woosa, what a revelation.

From a business standpoint, I knew this revelation meant my current marketing collateral, website, etc. would need to change. I started helping women who owned or wanted to start a business. Ironically enough when I started my coaching business, I called myself an Identity and Purpose Coach but so many classmates were remarking on my strength in giving solid business advice I thought that was the low-hanging fruit I should reach for. I have worked with some women doing this, but truthfully, it never felt aligned with what was really in my heart.

I know that women who understand their true identity find freedom. They can choose the passions they want to pursue, and in chasing that passion, they often stumble into their purpose. This changes the world
for all of us. THAT is what I want to do.

Biggest lessons learned:

1.  My voice matters – For most of my life, I was silenced. Starting a podcast has helped me not only find it but learn to share it with the world in a way that is resonating with other women. This makes it all worth it!
2.  Being yourself always pays off – There is no one like me. No one can BE me. There is no one like you or that can BE you. And that is so beautiful!
3.  I love podcasting – for reals! I had no idea when I started this journey how deeply I would fall for it. I tell everyone I meet that they need to have their own. (And just to nerd out quickly on a stat nearly 60% of podcasts are listened to by women but only 17% of podcasts are hosted by women. We need more women in this arena!

Now that season one is in the history books, I want to do a quick chat about what is next. First, I am taking a short break to make some of those changes I spoke of earlier. I will be back with Season Two at the beginning of June and I can’t wait. I have so many fun ideas. In the meantime, be sure you are following me on social media. I will be chatting on some other podcasts coming up and will be sure to share them there.

Moving forward I am so clear on who you are and how I can serve you. I will do this by offering content that encourages, empowers, and equips you to live your best life. In the meantime, I would LOVE to work with you. I adore individual coaching but am working on some new workshop opportunities so we can work in group settings. Eventually, I hope to create a monthly membership where we get together regularly to do our work, dream some dreams, and support and encourage one another. It is going to be an amazing journey, and we are just getting started!
