Hey Lovies! I hope you enjoyed the holiday season and are raring to say goodbye to 2021 and a big Adele-level Hello to the new year. Last week I challenged you to give yourself permission to do and be and have what you long for because it is your life, and you should live it your way. I hope you have identified areas where you want to experience growth in the new year. In today’s blog post, I am sharing a system I created to help you do that and so much more.

Today I want to start with a visualization exercise. I want you to close your eyes, relax your shoulders, and breathe. Imagine you’re sitting at one of those fancy movie theaters with those comfy reclining chairs. On the screen is a movie of your life – with the ups and downs, the highs and lows, the heartbreak, and the redemption. It builds up to this exact day – not some future day or a glamorized depiction but today. The music flows in. The words “The End” flash onto the screen, and the ending credits roll. What are you feeling at that exact moment? Did the story end as you hoped it would? Did it show the legacy you want to leave this world when you depart? Or did it leave you hanging mid-adventure?


The truth is we aren’t promised tomorrow. When we were born into this world, we weren’t stamped with an expiration date, so we don’t know when our last day will come. Most of us have lived enough life to lose people we thought we would have for far longer than we did. And that should have taught us tomorrow may not come. For that reason, we need to wring out every bit of goodness from each day we can.

Before we get started, let’s acknowledge we are all in different life seasons, and what works for one person might not work for another. I know many have navigated the last two years feeling overwhelmed with more responsibilities than hours in a day. We may have been telling ourselves we will get to the things on our list tomorrow or the proverbial “I’ll start on Monday” mindset that diet culture has taught us. Regardless of the season you are in, I hope you start moving in a new direction. One where each night you can go to sleep knowing you did your best and moved a tiny bit closer to your dreams.

May I ask you a few questions? As you visualized your ending credits, were you where you wanted to be? Seriously, is the path you are on now leading to where you want to go, or is it a loop that repeats day after day, week after week, month after month?

Are you open and willing to make changes that will take you in the direction of your dreams? Now take a sec before answering this because many of us naturally say, “of course, we are ready,” but when the rubber meets the road, when it’s messy, hard, and uncomfortable, when it involves making sacrifices and creating and enforcing healthy boundaries, our ‘yes’ falters. We have to tell ourselves the truth because sometimes we aren’t in the right headspace to do this work.

Now, one more question for you:
If I could teach you a system that would help you unearth your true identity, walk in the fullness of who you were created to be by dreaming big dreams, and help you create a game plan for moving in the direction of your dreams, would you be willing to spend an hour a week with me working on this?



We can’t continue getting to the end of a calendar year feeling like we failed to meet the expectations we had set for ourselves. I know that far too many of my coaching clients have struggled with feeling as if there aren’t enough hours in the day to get it all done much less get it done well. This is no way to live! Who wants to feel like they are failing when they are putting the bulk of the hours in the day giving attention to a laundry list of things??

After walking through so many fires and helping other women do the same, I knew I had to create something focused on resolving the same three challenges I kept hearing: lack of energy, lack of time, and lack of resources. Those who have beta tested this system say it provides a new way to navigate life. Women are coming out the other side more confident and purpose-filled with an arsenal of tools to build a path forward so that when the ending credits roll on their lives, they are on their feet celebrating at the top of their lungs.

I have seen first-hand the transformative growth this system can bring by helping you design a life overflowing with the clarity and energy needed to chase down your dreams! When implemented, this will become a rhythm by which your days flow. You will design a custom daily practice to create momentum to move you towards your ideal life. And that is what every woman deserves.

I want to give you a 50,000-foot view of the system I created called PROMOS. Before I do this, I want to be clear this is NOT another goal-setting system people push on the eve of a new calendar year. It is NOT another resolution-making plan. PROMOS is an all-in-one goal-setting, task management, and energy-balancing system designed to move you in the direction of your ideal life. And it begins by you getting clear on who you are and what you want out of life, so you spend each day of your one beautiful life moving in the direction you want to move instead of chasing expectations and cultural norms.



My PROMOS system has two distinct parts: goal setting and task management AND time and energy management. In part one, you will define your life buckets, dream some big dreams, and then reverse engineer them, so you have a path to get from where you are now to where you want to be. In part two, you will create your ideal schedule, outline projects and prioritize project tasks, plus create daily rhythms. I am a super fan of daily rhythms, and – even though they are a bit unsexy – they are what moves us in the direction we desire.

At the beginning of PROMOS, we define our life buckets. These are the broad categories of our lives. Think business, family, finances, faith, community, etc. Then we will use a life wheel to evaluate the health of these areas because you can’t pour from an empty cup, and you can’t fill a cup if you don’t know it’s empty. The truth is we have to get clear on the primary places our energy goes before we can ensure all are aligned. We will complete the Active Core Values course I gave you in episode 3 of my Coming Out Gold Podcast because they are our decision-making filters.

Once we have a good grip on our identity, we will dream some dreams. We have to get a clear vision for how we want our stories to unfold to chart a course forward. You can’t get from where you are to where you dream of being if you haven’t clarified exactly where that is. To use an archery analogy, you can’t expect to hit the bullseye if you don’t know where to aim your arrow. As you work through this system, you will decide what the target is for you, so you know how to allot your time, energy, and resources. We will do this by breaking them down into what I call PROMOS.



In business, promos are campaigns designed to increase awareness of and sales for a product. In life, promotions are activities, which support or provide active encouragement for furthering a cause or aim. Here PROMOS is an acronym for project, reason, outcome, master list, organization, and steps. What I love about this method is: it works for life and business. The system works for opening a new brick and mortar store, redoing your kitchen, completing a project at work, writing a book, cleaning your home, or meeting a reading goal. Seriously, the system works for anything you need to take care of, which is why I am so excited to share about it. Now, we don’t have enough time to go into the details for each category here, but I will give you details later on how you can get the system.

Once we have clarified who we are and where we want to go, we begin building our days to align with these so we move in the right direction instead of driving around that tired, endless loop of overwhelm and hustle. We will do this by learning to manage our energy instead of focusing on our time. Time is finite. Each day has 24 hours. Each week has seven days. We can’t add more hours or another day to get more done. Because this is true, we need to focus on a renewable resource, and this is our energy.  

The truth is personal energy is a renewable source and, if managed well, can expand to cover all needs. This makes it a far more effective tool for success. And the most amazing thing is that we are the managers of our energy, giving us control over how it’s used and nurtured. For the PROMOS system, we actively seek to balance who you want to be and the life you desire with the time and energy required to achieve your desired result. 



Here is what I know: daily habits create life rhythms. Rhythms create a cadence for our lives that contain the energy and momentum needed to get us to our dreams. In super easy terms: How you spend your days determines how your story ends, so you must learn to be intentional with your schedule to ensure you are becoming who you need to be to live the life of your dreams. We will create our ideal schedule to serve as a guide for daily planning. Then you will spend some time evaluating your personal energy levels to determine how best to maximize your time. Once you understand how your energy ebbs and flows throughout the day, you can create a daily plan for time blocking tasks accordingly. Everyone is different so there is no one-size-fits-all plan that ensures your success. And if anyone tells you there is, I am going to have to say, “ liar liar, pants on fire!” You will carve out a schedule that is right for you in this season and learn how to adapt it going forward as seasons change. Again, every step of this process teaches you to take agency and responsibility for your story and the legacy you leave behind.

Our final step in the PROMOS plan is weekly and daily planning. We know what appointments, deadlines, and must-dos are on our plates. Each day we will walk thru a practice of setting our mindset for that day. Next, we will complete a daily plan each morning to set our day on a path marked by clarity. The goal of the daily plan is to keep you focused and centered on what matters most to you and where you want to go. And don’t worry about finding the time to do these things. The daily plan and mindset pages are a quick 5-10 minute task that kicks off your day. Again, I know many of you feel overwhelmed and don’t need another task to add to a to-do list. This system will offer you a new way of doing things to dial back the overwhelm and ratchet up the joy and fulfillment in your life.

I can’t promise you that if you go through and implement my system you will wake up with a bank account like Warren Buffet, fit into your high school jeans hidden in the back of your closet, or that all of your worries will melt away. But I can say if you implement this program, you will spend your days taking inspired action and seeing your life transform as a result. You will design new rhythms for managing your energy, time, and resources to build momentum that pushes you towards your dreams. You will have the tools you need to evaluate your life from an objective point of view. For some of you, you will learn how to dream again after not dreaming for so long. And you will be able to prioritize your schedule around what matters most to you because the reality is, if you don’t prioritize your time and manage your energy, someone else will.
